Prabha arranges a grand reunion of the friends he grew up with, hoping to see Nandini, his childhood friend, once again. To deflect a matchmaking plan, he tells everyone a colourful tale of a love affair with another girl and his trouble with her gangster father, but the story causes more trouble than he expected among the people around him, and Nandini's own feelings get caught up in it. Darling is a breezy romantic comedy-drama, a softer change of pace for Prabhas after a string of action films, and it became a solid hit. G. V. Prakash Kumar's songs, including the title track, added to its popularity, and director A. Karunakaran was known for the cult romance Tholi Prema. This page is for the Bhojpuri version of the film.
