Part 16 of
Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, Chaturmas (year not recorded), 29 episodes
Read from the film's own description, by a program — so it
is a reading rather than a record.
Description
One day of a reading of the Bṛhadāraṇyaka Upaniṣad at Govardhan Maṭha, Purī, delivered in Hindi. The longest of the principal Upaniṣads, it belongs to the Śukla Yajur Veda and closes the Śatapatha Brāhmaṇa, and it carries the dialogues of Yājñavalkya: with King Janaka on what light a person goes by, with Maitreyī on why nothing is desired for its own sake, and with Gārgī on the thread upon which the worlds are strung. It is the source of the phrase neti neti — not this, not this. Day 16. The item records no Chaturmas year; these days are kept as their own run because they form a continuous sequence.
