Podhuvaga Emmanasu Thangam (2017)

Udhayanidhi Stalin plays a cheerful young man who is at the heart of everything in his village. When a long-standing dispute threatens the temple festival, he sets out to make it happen, which puts him at odds with a proud and difficult elder played by R. Parthiban, whose daughter he has fallen for. The film is a rural comedy-drama with romance, local rivalries and plenty of comic exchanges with Soori, typical of village entertainers of the period. The title is taken from a line of a well-known old Tamil film song.
