This time Diljit Dosanjh plays a Punjab Police constable with more swagger than skill, and Neeru Bajwa plays a Canadian police officer who flies to India on the trail of a wanted man. Thrown together as partners, the two clash over everything from methods to manners, and the chase becomes a road comedy full of mix-ups, rivalry and slowly growing affection. The film is a sequel in spirit to Jatt & Juliet, bringing back the same lead pair and director with new characters, and it repeated the first film's success. Jatt & Juliet 2 won the National Film Award for Best Punjabi Film, and the pairing of Diljit and Neeru became one of Punjabi cinema's most popular screen couples.
