Description

In a crowded one-room flat in a future Mumbai, Om, out of work and desperate, signs up with a global corporation that matches poor donors with wealthy clients abroad. In return for money and comforts, his body now belongs to a buyer he only ever sees on a screen, who watches over his family's life and diet to keep his future organs healthy. His wife, his mother and his brother each react differently to this bargain. Govind Nihalani, the director of Aakrosh and Ardh Satya, adapted the film from Manjula Padmanabhan's award-winning play Harvest, a sharp satire on organ trade, globalisation and surveillance. It is a rare Indian science-fiction drama of ideas.
