Deiva Machan (2023)

Deiva Machan is a 2023 Tamil comedy directed by Martyn Nirmal Kumar, starring Vimal, an actor known for rural comedies such as Kalavani and Vaagai Sooda Vaa. Television personality Anitha Sampath plays the female lead, and veteran actor-director Pandiarajan appears in support. The film follows the light, village-set style that Vimal is associated with, mixing family relationships, local characters and comic situations with a touch of the supernatural suggested by its title, which plays on the idea of a godly brother-in-law. It is a modest, easy-going entertainer aimed at audiences who enjoy small-town Tamil humour.
