Azhagu Raja runs a local cable TV channel in a small Tamil town and dreams of making it big, while his father runs the family business his own way. He falls for Devi Priya, a young woman who wants to become a singer, and with the help of his bumbling friend Kalyanam he tries every trick to win her. Their plans collide with an old family quarrel from the past, told in a comic flashback, and a string of misunderstandings. M. Rajesh, known for the comedy hits Siva Manasula Sakthi and Boss Engira Bhaskaran, built the film around the comic pairing of Karthi and Santhanam, whose banter carries much of it. Music is by S. Thaman.
