Dhanwan (1993)

Dhanwan ("the rich one") is a 1993 Hindi romantic drama starring Ajay Devgn early in his career with two of the rising heroines of the time, Manisha Koirala and Karisma Kapoor. As its title suggests, money and class sit at the centre of the story, with love tested by the gulf between rich and poor and by the misunderstandings that wealth brings into a relationship. It was a modest performer at the box office, but it is an interesting early-1990s title for the chance to see three future stars together before their biggest successes.
