Dil Pardesi Ho Gayaa (2003)

Dil Pardesi Ho Gayaa is a cross-border love story from veteran director Saawan Kumar Tak, made in the wave of India-Pakistan romances that followed Gadar. Kapil Jhaveri plays an Indian army officer and Saloni Aswani the Pakistani girl he comes to love, with Amrish Puri in one of his last villain roles. The film combines patriotic drama, separation and songs, as the couple try to stay together despite the border between them.
