Thulasi and Krishna fell in love as teenagers, and when she became pregnant their families quietly arranged an abortion. Five years later the couple are finally married, but Thulasi has never stopped thinking of the child she lost, whom she imagines as a little girl named Diya. Soon after the wedding, relatives connected to that decision start dying in strange accidents, and Thulasi becomes certain that something is moving through their home. A. L. Vijay's film is less a jump-scare horror than an emotional ghost story about grief and guilt. It was Sai Pallavi's first Tamil film, and it was released simultaneously in Telugu as Kanam.
