DJ Tillu (2022)

Bala Gangadhar Tilak, who calls himself DJ Tillu, plays wedding and party gigs in Hyderabad, talks non-stop and thinks very highly of himself. He is smitten with Radhika, a beautiful singer who seems out of his league, and is thrilled when she lets him into her life. Then one night she calls him in a panic, and Tillu finds himself helping to cover up a death, with the police, a criminal and his own nerves closing in. The comedy comes from Tillu's motor-mouth attempts to stay one step ahead. Siddhu Jonnalagadda co-wrote the film and his performance made Tillu a pop-culture figure; the title song by Ram Miriyala became a huge hit, and the film was followed by Tillu Square in 2024.
