Chandu is a con artist who lives by his wits in Hyderabad, running clever scams with a small crew and always staying one step ahead of his marks. He has his own reasons for needing money, and he is happy to cheat the cheaters. When he meets Meera, a medical student, he begins to imagine a different life, but a big job brings him into contact with a crooked businessman, corrupt officials and a stash of money that many people are prepared to kill for, and the hustler becomes the hunted. Dohchay ("looted") was a stylish crime caper that showed a cooler, more urban side of Naga Chaitanya, and it was Kriti Sanon's second Telugu film after 1: Nenokkadine. Director Sudheer Varma had earlier made the cult thriller Swamy Ra Ra.
