Dooj Ka Chand (1964)

Dooj Ka Chand ("the new crescent moon") is a 1964 Hindi drama directed by Nitin Bose, the pioneering filmmaker of New Theatres and of Ganga Jamuna. It stars Bharat Bhushan and Ashok Kumar, with B. Saroja Devi, then a leading star of Kannada and Tamil cinema, in one of her few Hindi roles. Detailed accounts of the plot are scarce today. It is an interesting late work from a major director and a chance to see Saroja Devi in Hindi cinema.
