A grandmother who fell into a coma in the late 1980s suddenly opens her eyes three decades later. Doctors warn that any shock could be fatal, so her family, including her son and his estranged wife, who are on the verge of divorce, decide to turn the house back in time: no smartphones, no flat screens, only the single state TV channel of her youth, old clothes and older habits. Keeping up the act forces the family members to live together again and to face what drove them apart. The premise recalls the German film Good Bye Lenin!, and much of the humour comes from the clash between today's India and the one of the 1980s. Dolly Ahluwalia plays the grandmother.
