E (2017)

E is a 2017 Malayalam horror film directed by Kukku Surendran, with veteran actress Gautami in the central role. The story builds its scares around a woman and the unexplained events that gather around her, using atmosphere and suspense more than spectacle. Gautami, a familiar face from Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films of the late 1980s and 1990s, gives the film its anchor. It is a modest, single-title horror picture that will appeal to viewers who like quieter supernatural thrillers.
