Aavida Maa Aavide (1998)

Aavida Maa Aavide ("she is my wife") is a Telugu comedy in which Nagarjuna plays a man who ends up with two women, played by Tabu and Heera Rajagopal, both claiming him as their husband. Much of the film is built on his desperate attempts to keep the arrangement secret from one or both of them, the misunderstandings that pile up, and the scheming of the comic supporting cast. Director E. V. V. Satyanarayana was one of the leading makers of Telugu comedies in the 1990s, and the film reunited Nagarjuna with Tabu after their hit Ninne Pelladata. The family comedy formula, with Brahmanandam and Kota Srinivasa Rao in support, made it popular with audiences of the time.
