Prema Ishq Kaadhal follows three young men in Hyderabad whose love lives run on very different tracks: a carefree musician who treats romance as a game, a struggling assistant director trying to impress a woman who seems out of his reach, and a quiet young man who falls hard for someone new. Their stories weave together over a few months as each learns something about commitment. The title strings together the words for love in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil, a nod to the film's breezy multilingual city setting. It was the debut feature of director Pavan Sadineni and an early showcase for Sree Vishnu and Ritu Varma, both of whom went on to bigger roles, with Harshvardhan Rane already known from his first Telugu films. Its relaxed, conversational style set it apart from the larger star films of its year.
