SP Chauhan (2018)

SP Chauhan is a 2018 small-town drama in which Jimmy Shergill plays the title character, an ordinary man from Haryana whose life is a long struggle against circumstance. Yuvika Chaudhary plays the woman in his life and Yashpal Sharma appears in a key supporting role. The film is built around Shergill's grounded, unshowy screen presence, which suited such rooted North Indian roles, and around the rural Haryana setting. Its subtitle, A Struggling Man, sums up its focus on perseverance. Few further details of the film are widely known.
