V1 (2019)

V1 is a Tamil murder mystery about Agni, a gifted forensics man who suffers from nyctophobia, a crippling fear of darkness. Asked by a police officer to help crack the killing of a young woman found in a quiet house, Agni works through suspects, alibis and forensic details, and his own fear becomes part of the puzzle. Made on a small budget by first-time director Pavel Navageethan, the film was noticed for its tight, clue-driven plotting, in the classic whodunit tradition rather than action.
