Joy Thakkolkkaran, the dreamer-entrepreneur from Thrissur who once tried to make incense sticks out of elephant dung, has a new venture under the Punyalan name. His company is barely off the ground when it runs into officials who want bribes, politicians who want a share and rules that seem designed to crush small businessmen. Joy refuses to play along and turns his fight into a public battle. This is the sequel to Ranjith Sankar's Punyalan Agarbattis (2013), which Jayasurya co-produced and which became a cult favourite for its Thrissur humour. The follow-up keeps the comedy but turns sharper in its satire of bureaucracy and the system that small entrepreneurs have to face in Kerala.
