Gemeni (2002)

Gemeni is a gangster who has risen from the streets to become a feared figure in the city's underworld, locked in a bloody rivalry with another gang boss. A principled senior police officer sees something better in him and offers him the chance to leave crime behind, and love for a young college student strengthens his wish to change. But walking away from the underworld proves much harder than entering it. The film is the Telugu remake of the Tamil hit Gemini (2002), made by the same director, Saran, and it starred Venkatesh. Kalabhavan Mani repeats his memorable role as the rival gangster from the Tamil original.
