A1 (2019)

The hero is a happy-go-lucky young man from a working-class neighbourhood of North Chennai. He catches the eye of a young woman from a conservative, orthodox family, and she mistakes him for the polished, cultured man she has always wanted. Keeping up appearances in front of her strict father proves impossible, and when a misunderstanding and an accident leave the father in a perilous state, he and his friends end up in a chain of desperate and ridiculous attempts to set things right. Santhanam carries the film with his rapid-fire comic timing, and Santhosh Narayanan wrote the music. The film was a hit for Santhanam in his phase as a comedy lead.
