Kushi (2001)

Siddhu and Madhu meet at college in Chennai and become close friends. Both are proud, quick-tempered and convinced that the other should confess first, so even as they help a pair of friends elope and grow closer by the day, neither admits to being in love, and a string of ego battles keeps driving them apart. Kushi is S. J. Surya's Telugu remake of his own 2000 Tamil hit Kushi with Vijay and Jyothika, and it became the biggest Telugu blockbuster of 2001 and one of the defining films of Pawan Kalyan's career. Mani Sharma's songs were enormously popular, and the film was later remade in Hindi as Kushi (2003).
