Varsham (2004)

Venkat meets Sailaja during a rainstorm, and the rain keeps marking the turning points of their romance. Her greedy father sees a better prospect in Bhadranna, a ruthless and wealthy local strongman who is obsessed with her, and he drives the couple apart. When Sailaja is taken against her will, Venkat must face Bhadranna on his own ground. Varsham ("rain") was the breakthrough hit that made Prabhas a star, was Trisha's first major Telugu success, and established Gopichand as a striking villain before he became a hero. Devi Sri Prasad's songs were a big hit. It was remade in Tamil as Mazhai (2005), and the Hindi film Baaghi (2016) drew on its story.
