Eeswar is the rough, good-hearted son of a hardworking single mother in a working-class colony. He falls for Indu, the daughter of a powerful and violent man who forbids the match and is ready to use his money, influence and thugs to crush the young man. Eeswar must stand up to him for his love and for the people of his neighbourhood. Directed by Jayanth C. Paranjee, Eeswar is historically notable as the debut of Prabhas, years before he became a national star with Baahubali. It also gave Sridevi Vijaykumar her first lead role, with Revathi playing Eeswar's mother.
