Ek Adbhut Dakshina Guru Dakshina

Ek Adbhut Dakshina Guru Dakshina is a Hindi drama starring Rajeev Pillai, with the late Girish Karnad and Roopa Ganguly in senior roles. As the title suggests, it builds on the old idea of guru dakshina, the offering a student owes his teacher, and weaves it into a love story about respect and sacrifice. It is a modest, sincere film, and one of the later screen appearances of Girish Karnad, the celebrated playwright and actor. Suited to viewers who like gentle, value-driven family dramas.
