Ek Chalis Ki Last Local (2007)

It is 1:40 in the morning, and a young man has just missed the last local train home. Stranded in the city, he accepts help from a stranger and crosses paths with a young woman played by Neha Dhupia, and soon finds himself in a world of gamblers, gangsters, crooked cops and a fortune in cash that everyone seems to want. The night keeps getting worse, and stranger. Sanjay Khanduri's debut is a dark comedy-thriller told across one night in Mumbai, with an episodic, twisting plot in the spirit of Guy Ritchie-style crime capers. Abhay Deol, early in his career of offbeat choices, carries the film with his everyman charm.
