Sattar Bhai is a flamboyant, gangster-style recovery agent whom a bank hires to chase down defaulters, and his methods are as theatrical as they are frightening. The film follows several people who have borrowed on easy credit and can no longer pay: a young man spending to impress a girl, a corporate high-flyer whose life collapses, a woman whose husband's debts fall on her, and an old man trapped by his son's loan. As Sattar and his men close in, each story becomes a lesson about the easy-money culture of the 2000s. The full title is EMI: Liya Hai To Chukana Padega ("you borrowed it, you must repay"), and Sanjay Dutt's Sattar Bhai plays to his Munna Bhai-style image.
