En Magan Magizhvan (2017)

En Magan Magizhvan, released in English as My Son is Gay, is an independent Tamil drama centred on a mother, played by Anupama Kumar, who discovers that her son, played by Ashwinjith, is gay. It follows her struggle with social prejudice, family expectations and her own feelings, and was noted as one of the few Tamil films to deal directly with a gay son and his family's acceptance.
