Express Raja (2016)

Raja is an idler from a small town whose uncle packs him off to Hyderabad to make something of himself. There he falls for a young woman and gets a job, but his life soon becomes tangled with a gang of crooks, a businessman, a pet dog that several people want for very different reasons, and a series of coincidences that pull everyone into the same mess. Director Merlapaka Gandhi, who had made Venkatadri Express, builds the film as a fast comic thriller with several parallel tracks that collide in the second half. It was a hit and added to Sharwanand's run of successful entertainers in the mid-2010s.
