Ritesh and his friends have scraped through school and cannot get into any college, which makes them failures in their parents' eyes. In desperation they invent one: Fakirchand And Lakhichand Trust University, F.A.L.T.U. With the help of a fast-talking fixer they rent a building and con their families, until hundreds of other rejected students turn up wanting admission. Faced with a campus full of young people nobody else wanted, the friends decide to run a university where students learn what they actually love. The film was the directorial debut of choreographer Remo D'Souza and is driven by dance numbers and youthful energy. Its premise closely follows the American comedy Accepted (2006), and the score is by Sachin–Jigar.
