Babli grew up in an orphanage and now makes a living stealing cars in Delhi for a local operator. When he takes a liking to Tara and then discovers that the car he has just stolen and sold off was hers, he decides to win her heart by getting it back. The trail leads to Chandigarh and to a ruthless politician-gangster, while a bickering, comically corrupt police couple, Chulbul and Bulbul Chautala, follow along in their own pursuit. Directed by Abhinav Kashyap after his hit Dabangg, Besharam is a broad masala comedy built on Ranbir Kapoor's clowning. Its biggest novelty is that it was the first film in which Ranbir shared the screen with both his parents, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh.
