Dilruba (1950)

Dilruba ("beloved") is a 1950 Hindi romantic drama directed by Dwarka Khosla, featuring a young Dev Anand early in his career, opposite Rehana, with the character actor Yakub. It comes from the years just before Dev Anand's Navketan banner made him a defining star of the 1950s. Information about the story is scarce today, and the film is mainly of interest to collectors of early Dev Anand and of post-independence Hindi cinema.
