Amber (1952)

Amber is a 1952 Hindi feature directed by Jaswant Jhaveri, made at the height of the Raj Kapoor and Nargis partnership that also produced Awaara and Shree 420. Comedian Agha appears in support. It belongs to the classic studio era of Bombay cinema, when stories were carried by melodrama, songs and the chemistry of their stars. It is a rarer title in the pair's filmography and is of interest mainly to followers of the two leads and of early-fifties Hindi cinema.
