Alag (2006)

Tejas has spent his entire life in a basement, hidden by his father, and his skin and eyes are so sensitive to light that he looks unlike anyone else. When his father dies, he is discovered and brought into society, where people treat him as a freak, even as it becomes clear that he has extraordinary mental powers. A young woman, played by Dia Mirza, sees the person behind the difference. Alag ("different") is a fantasy drama about prejudice and acceptance, and it was the debut film of Akshay Kapoor.
