Poovilangu (1984)

Poovilangu is a 1984 Tamil romantic drama directed by Ameerjan, a former assistant of K. Balachander. It marked the first Tamil film of Murali, who went on to become a popular romantic hero, and introduced Kuyili. The story deals with young love and the social and family pressures that stand against it, told in the sensitive, character-driven style of the Balachander school, with songs by Ilaiyaraaja.
