Govardhan is the dependable son every family wants: a young architect who counts every rupee, keeps his brothers and their families afloat and puts his own wishes last. When Indu, a bright young woman, rents the upstairs portion of the house, she quickly becomes part of the family, and Govardhan falls for her. Then he discovers that she has been studying him and his household for a reason of her own, and the hurt sends the story in a new direction, eventually taking him abroad to prove himself. Family Star reunited Vijay Deverakonda with director Parasuram after their hit Geetha Govindam, and paired him for the first time with Mrunal Thakur.
