Akkaran (2024)

Akkaran is a Tamil revenge thriller that gives veteran character actor M. S. Bhaskar, best known for comedy and supporting roles, a rare lead part. He plays an ordinary middle-aged father whose life is shattered when his daughter, played by Venba, is wronged and the system offers no help. Calm on the surface and relentless underneath, he sets out to track down those responsible one by one. The film is a small, intense drama carried by Bhaskar's restrained performance.
