Ganga Meri Maa (1983)

Ganga Meri Maa ("Ganga is my mother") is a 1983 Hindi action drama starring Shatrughan Sinha, then at the peak of his popularity with his thundering dialogue delivery, with Neetu Singh as the heroine and Amjad Khan, forever remembered as Gabbar Singh, in a key role. The title links the hero's love for his mother with the sacred river Ganga, and the story follows the decade's favourite pattern of family loyalty, injustice and a hero who fights back. It is among the last releases of Neetu Singh, whose remaining films reached cinemas after she stepped away from acting following her marriage to Rishi Kapoor in 1980. Detailed information about its making is scarce.
