Geetha and Anjali are twins, and after Anjali's death in a fall, Geetha begins to behave strangely: there are voices, sudden rages and signs that her sister has not left. Her family, frightened and divided between faith and medicine, calls in Dr. Sunny Joseph, a psychiatrist with a talent for unravelling the uncanny. He must separate superstition from truth and find out what really happened to Anjali. Geethaanjali brings back Mohanlal's character from the classic Manichitrathazhu (1993), which Priyadarshan had worked on as second-unit director, and it marked the screen debut of Keerthy Suresh in a lead role, playing both sisters.
