George Reddy was a brilliant physics student and a fearless fighter who became a student leader at Osmania University in Hyderabad, standing up for poorer and marginalised students against the groups that dominated the campus through intimidation. His activism made him a hero to many and a target for others, and he was murdered on the campus in 1972, aged 25. The film is a biographical drama tracing his childhood, his years at the university and his politics, with Sandeep Madhav in the title role. It recreates the period campus in detail, and George Reddy remains a well-known name in Telangana student politics.
