Ghaati (2025)

In the forested hills along the Andhra-Odisha border, the people called ghaatis earn their living carrying ganja on their backs across dangerous mountain trails for the traffickers who control the trade. Sheelavathi is one of them, a tough woman who, along with the man she loves, decides she will no longer be exploited, and her defiance sets off a violent conflict with the powerful syndicate. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, known for Gamyam and Vedam, the film was promoted as Anushka Shetty's return to a big lead role after a break, and its rugged locations and action scenes were key selling points. Vikram Prabhu co-stars in his first major Telugu role.
