Sanjay Singhania was once a rich, quiet telecom tycoon who fell in love with Kalpana, a warm-hearted model who had no idea who he really was. Now he lives with short-term memory loss: every few minutes his memory resets, and he survives on Polaroid photos, notes and the tattoos covering his body, all pointing to one name, Ghajini. A medical student, Sunita, becomes curious about his case, while the police and Ghajini himself are drawn into his path. The film is A. R. Murugadoss's Hindi remake of his own Tamil hit of 2005, and Aamir Khan's muscular transformation for the role became a talking point. It was the first Hindi film to earn 100 crore rupees at the domestic box office, and A. R. Rahman's songs, including Guzarish and Kaise Mujhe, were huge.
