Sanjay Athreya, a former safecracker, agrees to one final bank robbery with two small-time crooks, on condition that he keeps the money hidden for three months until the heat dies down. When the time comes, he cannot remember where he put it, or even the robbery itself, after an accident. His partners, convinced he is lying, move into his flat with him and his fashion-obsessed wife Neetu, and the paranoia escalates into black comedy. Raj Kumar Gupta, who had made the serious dramas Aamir and No One Killed Jessica, tried his hand at an offbeat caper here. Vidya Balan's loud, garishly dressed Punjabi housewife drew much comment, and Amit Trivedi supplied the music. Opinions were divided on release, but its oddball tone has fans.
