Years after the events of Ghayal (1990), Ajay Mehra has rebuilt his life by running a crusading organisation that exposes wrongdoing in Mumbai, still haunted by his past. When four young friends accidentally film a crime involving the son of Raj Bansal, one of the city's most powerful businessmen, they become targets, and Ajay takes them under his protection in an increasingly dangerous chase across the city. Sunny Deol directed and wrote this sequel, bringing back Om Puri as journalist Joe D'Souza, with Soha Ali Khan as a doctor close to Ajay. It is a deliberately old-school action drama with large-scale chase sequences and a strong anti-corruption message, made a quarter century after the original.
