This is a feed of Ghetto Radio, the Nairobi urban station that has been on 89.5 FM since 2007 and made its name by talking to young Kenyans in Sheng, the Swahili and English street slang of the city's estates. The music is Kenyan hip hop and urban pop alongside reggae, other Caribbean sounds and Afrobeats, wrapped around street level news, sport and lifestyle talk. Presenters are local personalities rather than polished announcers, and the tone is deliberately closer to the estate than to the boardroom. It remains one of the most quoted youth stations in the country, and the stream identifies itself on air simply as Ghetto Radio.
