Ghoomketu, a would-be writer from Mahoba in Uttar Pradesh, is tired of his family's taunts, so he runs off to Mumbai, sure that the film industry is waiting for his stories. He has thirty days to make it. Meanwhile Inspector Badlani, a weary Mumbai policeman, is given the same thirty days to trace the missing man, or face a transfer. The film follows the two in parallel, with Ghoomketu's clumsy attempts at writing comedy, romance and horror coming to life as daydreams. Pushpendra Nath Misra's satire of small-town ambition and the Mumbai dream was shot several years before its 2020 release. It is notable for casting director Anurag Kashyap as the cop and for a string of cameos by well-known stars.
