Description

One of three sessions on the fifteenth chapter of the Bhagavad Gītā, delivered in Hindi at Govardhan Maṭha, Purī — the eastern of the four cardinal maṭhas of the Śaṅkarācārya tradition. The chapter is Puruṣottama-yoga, and it opens with the aśvattha tree whose roots are above and branches below — the world as something to be cut down with detachment — before distinguishing the perishable from the imperishable and naming what is beyond both. Day 1 of the series. Runs 62 minutes.
