Kannadikkal is a village where wrestling is a way of life, and its champion of old, the stern Captain, wants his son Das to follow in his footsteps. Das would much rather play cricket, and the father sends him off to study in Punjab to set him straight. He returns with Aditi Singh, a talented woman wrestler from a Punjabi family who has run away from pressure to give up the sport. Her arrival shakes up the village's ideas about who can wrestle, and her own fight to compete again becomes everyone's cause. Basil Joseph's second film after Kunjiramayanam is a warm sports comedy with a feminist streak, and it was Wamiqa Gabbi's first Malayalam role. Shaan Rahman's music and the playful village humour helped make it a hit.
