Gone Kesh (2019)

Enakshi is a cheerful teenager in Siliguri who dreams of dancing on a big stage. Then she is diagnosed with alopecia, a condition that makes her hair fall out, and in a world that measures a girl by her looks, her hopes, friendships and marriage prospects all seem to slip away. Her loving but worried parents try everything, from doctors to wigs, while Enakshi has to learn to face the mirror and the neighbours on her own terms. The film treats a rarely discussed condition with warmth and humour rather than pity. Shweta Tripathi, known for Masaan, plays Enakshi across her teens and twenties, and Jitendra Kumar, before his big web-series fame, appears as a friend.
